In the National Baseball Series in Cuba Not only are the behaviors of players, team managers or referees objectionable, but also the treatment of the national Commission and Federation deserves popular scrutiny, due to the lack of clarity in their communications about the different events that have tarnished the “show.”

The things you say regarding the situation of the false referee present in the Pinar del Río game against Matanzas at the Capitán San Luis Stadium, they are still making people talk.

In a recent press conference, after having said, at first, that the information was false, new measures were announced against the people involved.

Now, the aforementioned commission decided to expel both the referee and the referee from the competition Ricardo Campanioni Arrechea, as well as the assistant scorer, the referee supervisor and the technical commissioner. While the head of the referee group Janet Moreno Mendinueta was prohibited from participating in two subseries of the competition.

An analysis of the sports page Por La Goma, who has followed up on these cases, recalls that within the planning of the game "there were problems and that they agreed to give the false name."

“Companioni had told the truth and that later they had sent him to say that his profile was hacked,” he says.

In previous information, the Cuban Baseball and Softball Federation denied the presence of a fake referee saying, through his account in X, that "it has not happened nor will it happen, although some insist on stating it, intentionally lacking the most basic sense of ethics."

Last Monday, April 29, they contradicted that conclusion, stating that "the press and local amplification were provided with a false name without knowing its origin yet, which was never by a Baseball Director (Commissioner of Umpires or Game Commissioner)" said sports journalist Carlos Hernández Luján from his Facebook profile.

Hernández Luján assured that this fact was under investigation in order to know who provided the false name and for what purpose.

Another topic addressed in the recent press conference was that of the pitcher. Jonathan Carbon, 26 years old, who abandoned a contract with the Italian League, under the supervision of INDER.

The decision was dishonorable expulsion from the competitive baseball system. However, to this extent, The young man arrived in the Dominican Republic with the intention of signing in the Major Leagues.
