Gas station cashier in Miami confronts man who steals two beers.

The incident occurred in Little Havana.

A video that has gone viral on social media shows how a cashier at a gas station store in Little Havana confronted a man who was stealing two beers from the establishment.

The images, captured by the surveillance camera of the place, show the moment when the woman - possibly Cuban judging by the accent - was attending to other clients until she called out to the thief in a commanding voice just as the individual was about to leave the place with the beers hidden under his clothes.

"Give me the beer you have there, the beers you have there. Give me the beers you have there," the woman repeated several times while pointing to where the thief had hidden the drinks.

The bewildered individual - who apparently was not a Spanish speaker - handed over one of the cans but kept the other, something that the employee also did not overlook.

"Give me the one you have there," insisted the saleswoman who also retrieved the second alcoholic beverage amidst the silence and anticipation of the remaining customers.

After delivering the two beers, the man left calmly. In the images, we hear that upon leaving, one of those present asked if they were calling the police.

"Bravery or recklessness? That's the question that many on social media are asking, and also the one that the panelists of the show La Cosa Nostra on America Tevé asked themselves, where the video was shared and subjected to debate."

Some people believe that the protagonist of the anecdote -Cuban or not- might be newly arrived in the United States and unaware of the immense danger of confronting a thief in such terms, especially if it is unknown whether the thief is armed.

The police advise against employees of any establishment that is being robbed confronting the thieves as it puts their lives in serious danger.

However, in recent days, it was also reported that the owner of a restaurant in Miami discovered a thief inside the premises and fearlessly confronted him. In this case, the incident occurred in the early hours of last Thursday at El Jardín Latino, located on 32nd Street and 17th Avenue in northwest Miami.

The business owners were sleeping when they were awakened by the alert emitted by the surveillance cameras due to the presence of intruders. The man called 911 and immediately went to the place to prevent the criminal from getting away with it, something he ended up achieving.

A video showed the thief with a bandana covering his face checking the cash register, grabbing items, and putting them in his backpack. Then he was seen raising his hands when the owner approached him with a stick in hand. The criminal walks backwards as the owner and a friend who joined him cornered him. After a fight, the two managed to neutralize him.
