A Cuban resident in Argentina for 15 years declared herself a loyal follower of President Javier Milei, to whom she even brought some dolls as a gift to the unique event held this Wednesday at the Luna Park stadium, where the president sang, dressed up, and also presented a book.
"I am a believer. This in Cuba is to open paths. This in Cuba brings luck. They are some dolls made of Cuban wood... for me it works. I will try to give them to him," said the elderly woman when interviewed near the stadium before the event.
“I had to come because look, Milei is sui generis. He has some special characteristics. He is very friendly. He is very intelligent, very capable, and I like him [...] It’s a unique freedom, as I say. Unprecedented. I have visited several countries because I work for a shipping company and have seen many countries, but Milei's characteristics are only found in him,” added the woman, who even specified that she joined the political party of the Argentine president.
The elderly woman celebrated what she likes the most about the current Argentinean leader and pointed out that what surprised her the most was that before taking office, he spoke the truth about what was going to happen in the country.
"That thing about making plans, about living off handouts, is over [...] It seems to me that he is a man who is trying to organize the country, to straighten things out. It's very difficult. It's not easy because there were many years of vice, many years of theft, many years of immorality," he emphasized.
The Cuban emigrant celebrated the number of people trying to enter the stadium even though they didn't have tickets.
"Here they do not pay anyone. Because nobody pays me to come. I come out of conviction," he emphasized.
Freedom of speech vanished when she declined to answer when asked about the reasons she left Cuba.
"I can't say why because then I won't be able to enter Cuba," he said succinctly. However, the lady did say that there is a great scarcity in Cuba after 65 years of the same government.
"I see that there are difficulties here, but if people work, they have no problems, and that's what he urges, to work," concluded the enthusiastic elderly woman.
The controversial president of Argentina immersed himself in a crowd this Wednesday at Luna Park, where he kicked off the extravagant concert to present his new book "Capitalism, Socialism, and the Neoclassical Trap" by singing his unofficial anthem titled "Panic Show", accompanied by a rock band composed of some of his closest collaborators.
He did it in front of thousands of his followers, who chanted against former Argentine president Cristina Fernández and Spanish president Pedro Sánchez.
