After a standout performance in the lower category, Cuban pitcher Orlando Ribalta was promoted to the Rochester Red Wings, the Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals.

The news was announced this Saturday by various media outlets and sports journalists, who highlighted the Cuban's career with the Harrisburg Senators, the Double-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals.

“Ribalta dominated in Double-A with an active streak of 17 scoreless innings and 32 strikeouts in 18 innings," sports journalist Francys Romero mentioned on his Facebook profile.

In his latest appearance with the Harrisburg Senators this Saturday, Ribalta was the game closer with an outstanding save.

The Cuban managed to retire the first two batters in six pitches. Then he gained control for the third out on the seventh pitch.

Ribalta is a baseball player born in Santo Domingo, Villa Clara. In 2019, during an interview with Francys Romero, published in CiberCuba, he confirmed that he arrived in the United States in 2010.

The 26-year-old young man attended High School preparatory school where he alternated as a batter, and during his college years, he left a significant mark with his fastball reaching 97 miles per hour.
