Spanish people distribute medicines and money to people in need on the streets of Havana.

The main recipients of the aid were Cubans in poverty and children.

Two Spaniards, who have recently visited Havana, distributed medicines, school supplies, and money to people in need and Cuban children.

The YouTuber Jonix Dose accompanied the tourists and documented graphically the charitable work carried out by them.

Today we went out to the streets of Havana, Cuba, along with some followers of the channel to distribute donations and essential items, such as medication for people in need in Cuba, and this is what happened," said the content creator in the video description.

In just over 12 minutes, Jonix summarizes a day that he described as "very special," and considered it a "privilege" to be able to share it with his followers.

One of the tourists said that they have been coming to the island for years and confessed that they enjoy going and helping the Cubans.

Among the donated products were injectable materials, surgical gowns, medical instruments, school supplies, among other things.

According to the explanation, the goal was to deliver these donations to nursing homes and schools, but to go directly to the beneficiary without having intermediaries, which was not possible in all the places they visited.

"The smile does not pay for everything," said the other tourist to describe the essence of what they experienced in the educational centers they were able to enter.

They also moved to some central streets of Old Havana, where they supported various neighbors who approached to see their charitable work with medications and money.

Actions like those carried out by these Spaniards are appreciated by the Cuban people, who are experiencing a food crisis and shortage of medications that seem to have no short-term solution.

The Cuban ruler Miguel Díaz-Canel himself has said that this situation will continue, as pharmacies are out of stock and dozens of essential products are missing.

Given the lack of supplies and medications, the best response we can provide to our population in such difficult times is the quality of services. We will have shortcomings, we will continue to have a shortage of medications," he stated.

Meanwhile, Cuban non-governmental organizations have warned about the increase in begging in the country. The Cuban Observatory of Human Rights (OCDH) has stated that it is increasingly common to see people rummaging through garbage bins in search of food and other resources.
