In an attempt to revitalize the depressed tourism industry in Cuba, the regime will organize the Paradise Rainbow Festival from August 19 to 25, 2024 at the Hotel Memories Paraiso, located in Cayo Santa María, Villa Clara province.

The initiative proposes a week of parties, shows, and fun, "to celebrate love in all forms," as reported by the news portal Travel Trade Caribbean (TTC).

The event program includes a Rainbow Fantasy Show at its opening, with a drag queen theme, as well as interactive games that will award "a week's stay at the hotel for two adults" as a prize.

Pool parties, themed breakfasts, a carnival to choose the star, and Cuban afternoons will be other proposals of the Paradise Rainbow Festival.

Rafael Villanueva, commercial director of the chain, confirmed to TTC that this event reaffirms the hotel company Blue Diamond's policy of renewing its offerings in Cuba under the Resonance brand.

The chain plans to position the brand in Varadero and Cayo Santa María, focusing on attracting a young audience over eighteen years old, indicated Villanueva, showing the desperate effort of the regime to commercialize at all costs the criticized destination of Cuba.

In this regard, he explained that they will manage two concepts: the Music, aimed at young people looking for entertainment, animation, different parties, and an international DJ calendar, an audience that has not visited Cuba so far.

The second concept is Blue, which is aimed at the segment looking for well-being, yoga, and relaxation.

According to the executive, this will be "something very innovative in the country."

Last January, the Cuban regime and a Galician company announced the preparation of the first "great LGBTI festival" on the island, to be held in the exclusive Cayo Santa María in the summer, confirming the government's trend of coming to the rescue of the tourism industry.

This scenario has been chosen by the dictatorship to prepare events that provide them with cash easily and quickly, and now it's Spartacus' turn, an LGBTI festival promoted from Spain as a moment of "music, art, and inclusion," reported the local newspaper La voz de Galicia.

The initiative is being prepared by the Arousa-based company Turidove and will take place between July 31 and August 4. The information specifies that it will be a unique event on the island.

"We estimate that around three thousand people will travel from abroad - from different points in Latin America, but also from Spain - in addition to the Cuban audience," explained Xabier Álvarez Pombo, one of the four owners of the travel agency, whose headquarters are located in Vilagarcía.
