Fidel Antonio Castro Smirnov, grandson of Fidel Castro, congratulated Raúl Castro on his 93rd birthday and alongside the message on social media, he posted a photo that has sparked reactions among Cubans.

"With you, my grandfather and my father continue to live on. In you beats the work, the legend, our collective dream. Grateful for your human greatness, friendship, affection, constant support, for your teachings and your example, I send you with love many congratulations on your 93rd birthday, dear Uncle Raúl," said Fidel Antonio.

The reactions of Cubans did not take long to arrive because in the photo chosen for the congratulation, the Army General appears alongside his nephew fishing on a yacht, an activity that has been banned for Cubans for decades.

The rapper Marichal reacted to the post on the social network X by highlighting key words in the message: ""Our collective dream" to live like kings at the expense of a nation. Everyone will end up in prison, just like what happened with the Nazis. We will find them wherever they go," said the singer.

The user Antonio Finlay expressed: "Unfortunately, I don't have the experience of going yachting with my uncle because it was prohibited for Cubans in Cuba. The laws that your grandfather and uncle created to silence the people, while your family lives in extreme wealth."

There were also those who stood out for how the members of the Castro family no longer have shame and display their lives of luxury without any fear on social media.

The user FreedomOfSpeech pointed out: "Are they rubbing it in our faces how they enjoy what is forbidden to the people? Is the bubble so big that they don't realize or they don't care? No Cuban, without a special navigation permit, can board a ship, even if they live abroad. HYPOCRITE!".

On May 1st, Fidel Antonio Castro Smirnov made another notable appearance on social media. He did a parachute jump in Ciego de Ávila and said it was in homage to his grandfather.

Eccentricism in extreme sports, yacht fishing, and elitist activities are the favorites of this family who, in the midst of one of the biggest economic crises facing the country in the last six decades, spend resources to put on this type of shows, and proudly showcase it on social media.
