New details about the arrest of the sexual assailant of a young woman in Santiago de Cuba

According to the regime, there was a need to fire a warning shot into the air to disperse the residents who rushed towards the detainee.

The Cuban regime revealed details of the arrest this Wednesday of a man accused of sexually assaulting a teenager in Santiago de Cuba.

The Facebook profile "Heroes of the Moncada," linked to the Ministry of Interior, reported that the arrest of the accused took place around 8:00 am this Wednesday, and the police had to fire a shot to disperse the crowd, which wanted to lynch the alleged criminal.

Combined forces from the Ministry of the Interior promptly acted in the arrest of the perpetrator of a rape crime in the Chicharrones neighborhood, whom the neighbors of the place and passers-by wanted to "lynch," in a hasty attempt to take justice into their own hands," detailed the post.

According to that profile, "there was a need to fire a warning shot into the air to disperse the residents who rushed towards the detainee with the intention of assaulting him," the publication states.

In the morning, a video had emerged regarding the arrest of the man, nicknamed "Timba," in the El Polvorín neighborhood in Santiago de Cuba.

The images - shared by journalist Yosmany Mayeta - although of poor quality and taken from afar, allowed us to see how the number of neighbors multiplied in a few seconds at the place moments before the individual was taken away in a patrol car.

"I didn't know that so many people lived in El Polvorín," commented the person who recorded the images in reference to the crowd that formed very quickly.

Although it is not clearly seen in the video, apparently, some of those present managed to hit the individual accused as the alleged perpetrator of the rape of a 14 to 15-year-old teenager who is hospitalized.

"Look, they are hitting him, they are hitting him," can be heard in the footage.

Later, the police fired a shot to disperse the crowd of people and prevent a possible lynching of the alleged rapist, who was out on parole, as he is currently serving a sentence in prison for rape.
