El Yonki appreciates the love and support he has received following the death of his mother.

The support she gave me and the confidence she had in me made me become El Yonki. In her memory and in her honor, I now have a new family, which is all of you, the audience.

Although he recognizes that social media is not his thing, El Yonki has made an exception with a live broadcast to send an emotional message of thanks for all the support, love, and encouragement he has received after the hard blow of losing his mother, who passed away at the end of last May in Havana.

First of all, I want to thank all those people who have accompanied me in this dark process. I thought I was not going to be able to overcome this emptiness, in fact, I cannot overcome it, but thanks to the unconditional support of each of my fans, my followers, of you who are my friends, now I feel a little more recovered," he began his words in which he opened his heart.

Despite the tough moment he is going through, the Cuban artist based in Miami acknowledged how all the messages of encouragement have helped him gather the necessary strength to face it: "I have received many messages giving me encouragement, and believe me, I needed that. I have received messages that I hadn't received in years, giving me strength and a lot of support."

In addition to expressing his gratitude, El Yonki reflected on the importance of valuing time and showing affection to loved ones while they are alive: "I urge all those people who are currently giving me strength to value time, as lost time cannot be recovered. Everything you can do while the person is alive, do it because once we don't have the person by our side, we will want to do everything we wanted to do and didn't."

Regarding his career, the artist stated that he will fulfill his professional commitments despite the pain he is going through, and confessed that his upcoming concert in Miami, which will take place at Añejo this Saturday, will be especially significant for him, as it will be the first one without the physical presence of his mother and will be dedicated to her memory.

El Yonki also took the opportunity to reveal details about his new album, in which he has collaborated with artists such as El Micha, Mawell, Harryson, and Descemer Bueno, among others, and fortunately, his mom was able to listen to it in its entirety. He also reiterated his commitment to his fans and to his mother's memory: "I am going to become the El Yonki that you all have made. The only thing I ask of you is that if you ever fell in love with my music, I assure you that in this new stage amazing things are going to happen just like they did at the beginning."

The video concluded with an emotional thank you to all its followers and its family, highlighting especially his wife and manager, Anita, for the unconditional support provided during this difficult time.

Thanks to all my friends, brothers, fans, and followers for accompanying me in this very difficult moment. I must be strong to continue and achieve mom's dreams, I must find strength but it is hard," he wrote on Instagram when sharing the video that caused a wave of affectionate and supportive messages from his followers, loved ones, and colleagues.
