A Cuban man identified as Oscar Luis Marcos Roso, 62 years old, is missing in the Mexican state of Tabasco, and authorities are asking for help to locate him.
According to the "Missing Persons" file disseminated by the Prosecutor's Office of that state, the man disappeared in the Municipality of Tenosique, Tabasco, on June 4th, around 2:00 p.m.
At that time, communication was last made with Marcos Roso, and since then his whereabouts are unknown. Authorities consider that the physical integrity of the Cuban is at risk.
A previous report indicated that he had disappeared on May 31st in the municipality of Cárdenas.
The circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Marcos Roso are unknown, including whether he is a migrant on a journey.
Tabasco is located in southern Mexico, and it shares borders with Guatemala, making it a common route for migrants, just like neighboring Chiapas, where the border city of Tapachula is located.
Marcos Roso is 62 years old and is 1.60 meters tall. He has straight, gray hair, weighs around 75 kg, and the clothing he was wearing is unknown, according to the record.
In one of the comments on a Facebook post, the family asks every citizen of Tabasco to share the information on their social networks to find the Cuban, and clarifies that "he is a visitor, we are not from there."
The Cuban migration crisis has pushed thousands of Cubans towards the dangerous Central American routes controlled by coyotes and traffickers, where many have disappeared for several days or lost their lives.
In February, a Cuban who was in Mexico also disappeared, and he had his CBP One appointment scheduled to travel to the United States.
Also that month, another Cuban identified as Igdelnaire Matamoros Bubaire disappeared in the city of Tapachula, where thousands of migrants of different nationalities have been stranded for months.
