Cuban woman in the USA responds to criticism for working cleaning houses: "I feel very proud of myself"

Cleaning houses is a job like any other, and I came to this country to make money.

In a TikTok video that has gone viral, the Cuban @leidy.aragon strongly responded to the criticism she received for her work cleaning houses in Tampa, Florida.

In her post, Leidy expressed her surprise and discontent at the attitude of some users on the network who dared, even, to send her private messages, asking her if she felt ashamed of admitting that she cleaned houses.

"People are cheeky and bold. Now, cleaning houses is something bad," she wrote about her video, showing her disbelief at such comments.

The young woman, far from being discouraged, decided to use the visibility of social media to show pride in what she does and highlight what she truly considers shameful. She explained that she would feel ashamed if she had to work at a gogo club - although she clarifies that she is not criticizing those who do - or if she had a page with questionable content that could affect her son in the future. However, when it comes to cleaning houses, Leidy feels "very proud of what I have been able to achieve in such a short time," arguing that this work has allowed her to support her family and, probably, earn more money than her critics.

Leidy concluded her defense by pointing out that those who criticize her work may not have achieved much in their own lives. "Cleaning houses makes much more money than many jobs," she stated, emphasizing the dignity of any honest work and the value of personal effort.

The reaction to the video has been remarkable, and the supportive comments were quick to come, with followers praising her bravery and sharing their own stories of working in cleaning.

"I congratulate you, my life", "People only know how to criticize. I value you; I also work in housekeeping at a hotel" and "Cleaning houses is a job like any other"; "you are a true warrior, may God always bless you and shower you with many blessings, greetings "; "Well done countrywoman, blessed is everyone around you, without fear of success"; "I identify with you and make your words mine because I am also doing the same in offices. We came here to move forward, nothing is eternal. Congratulations!"; "It is a dignified job like any other, only we as fighting warrior women who get up every day to earn a living know it, stay strong and beautiful"; "It is a very dignified job, and if you feel good, let people say what they want, you are the only one who can decide for yourself," reads among the comments, more than a thousand at the time of this note.

A few days earlier, the young woman had celebrated "two years in the United States, alone with a child but with my own cleaning business."
