The art historian and activist, Carolina Barrero Ferrer, denounced this Sunday from the city of Mykolaiv, on the war front, that the Cuban regime sent young soldiers to die in the war between Russia and Ukraine, as part of the corrupt geopolitics orchestrated between Havana and Moscow.
The Cuban activist warned on Instagram that young people are pawns: "Don't be deceived, Russia sends them to die, they are used as cannon fodder."
"Cuba, the country that should protect them, sends them to die," Barrero emphasized in relation to the presence of mercenaries from the Caribbean island in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
"Our fight is for freedom, not to subjugate another nation to the empire of evil. It is the same struggle as that of the heroic people of Ukraine," pointed out the activist, who denounced the hiring of young Cubans to join the Kremlin's army.
These accusations add to those made by Ukraine, civil society in the Caribbean nation, and some relatives of Cuban mercenaries, causing concern in the international community.
"This is also my response to the Russian warships and the nuclear submarine that are threatening the world this week from the port of Havana," denounced the young Cuban, warning about an event that has been interpreted as a demonstration to the world of Russian power.
Finally, from the city of Mykolaiv, the young activist demanded the freedom of Cuba and Ukraine.
Despite international denunciations, Russia's invasion of Ukraine continues to claim lives in its senseless act.
Recently, the Cuban citizen Mario Alberto Céspedes Pérez passed away, which was still lamentable, despite his connection to the Ministry of the Interior (MININT), where he served as a trained collaborator to repress his compatriots.
According to the Cubanet portal, Céspedes' death occurred on May 14, as first reported by a former girlfriend of his brother and later confirmed by "a person who claimed to be a lawyer, and who showed, for identification, a photo of the deceased taken four days prior, with the body being kept in the embalming room."
The mercenary in the service of the Euroasian nation's forces, who fell from grace a year ago as a helpless immigrant in Moscow, was employed by the Municipal Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology of Puerto Padre. In that area of Las Tunas, specifically at the corner of Alejo Tomás and Juan Gualberto Gómez street, he left behind three orphaned children.
Last May, another Cuban died on the Russian battlefield in Ukraine while ruler Miguel Díaz-Canel was visiting that country "to strengthen ties" with the regime of Vladimir Putin.
Eduardo Montero Martínez, born on June 1, 1978 in the city of Cienfuegos, lost his life during the armed conflict with Ukraine.
His body was buried in the city of Kerch, as announced by the head of the local administration, Svyatoslav Brusakov, cited real estate newspaper Crimea Realidades.
