A young Cuban dies in explosion at projectile factory in Villa Clara

Young Yosley Hernández passed away this Friday, following a tragic accident at the weapons and explosives manufacturing plant located in the community of La Campana, in Manicaragua, Villa Clara province, according to reports from various sources on social media.

According to the Facebook post by user Héctor Tol Etón, Hernández, 36 years old, was a victim of the explosion of a sample: "He received the impact, died instantly," he indicated.

He also stated that "a co-worker carried him until the ambulance arrived," but unfortunately, he had already passed away.

Until the close of this report, official state media outlets have not echoed the tragic accident.

The deceased were a well-known refrigeration technician among the locals in a place called Fredy Toledo, and his assistant, a young man of just over 20 years old named Marcos.

Regarding the causes of the accident, various comments in Facebook groups from Manicaragua agree that it was due to the explosion of a gas cylinder: some said it was oxygen, others said nitrogen, but the most widely spread version was that it was acetylene.
