Elioveliz Pérez, known as the "Cuban José José," shared on social media his first live concert in Havana, which sold out in just 14 hours, as a way to bring his art to the thousands of followers he has.
"It was recorded by my non-professional team and there were some audio reception issues. But what matters is the intent. We always kept everyone in mind," the young man wrote on Facebook, referring to his first live concert, which took place on June 14 at a packed Teatro Lázaro Cárdenas.
Before the concert, Pérez explained that the ticket price would be only 60 pesos to cover the costs of the theater and its workers, a gesture he viewed as a way to repay the affection that the Cuban audience has shown him since the beginning of his career.
The young Cuban musician's performance was shared on YouTube, accompanied by heartfelt words from the singer: “Thank God and my family for their support, and to all of you who have guided me with so much affection.”
Recently, the Facebook page "El Lugar en Miami" shared a photo highlighting the striking resemblance between the Mexican singer José José and Pérez, a similarity that did not go unnoticed by the followers of both artists.
In the comments section, people agreed that both the Prince of Romantic Song and the so-called Cuban José José are indeed very similar.
