Alina Robert is one of the young preselected candidates to represent the island in Miss Universe Cuba 2024, once again venturing into beauty pageants, but now with much more experience accumulated in her artistic career.
The actress and presenter shared the news on her social media, expressing her gratitude and pride in representing Cuban women on this important platform.
"I have applied to one of the most enriching experiences of my life. 13 years ago, I entered a new world for me; it wasn't just about entertainment, it was the world of beauty pageants. I discovered that behind what they had portrayed to me, there was a lot of soul, commitment, responsibility, and love - for oneself, for the stage, and the community," Alina wrote on her Instagram.
Known for her participation in the "Nuestra Belleza Latina" program on Univisión in 2014 where she finished as the fourth finalist, Alina thanked the Miss Universe Cuba organization for allowing her to open the doors of the world once again "to the Cuban woman, to our ethnicity, values, leadership, empathy, flavor, tradition, ideology, culture, shape, colors, and flavor."
In one of her stories on that social media platform, the actress shared her excitement upon discovering that she is on one of the most important paths of her life: "Representing the Cuban woman is no small feat; I am overwhelmed with gratitude."
In recent years, after her participation in "Nuestra Belleza Latina," Alina worked as a host and model for the show "Sábado Gigante" alongside Don Francisco. She recently took part in Lilo Vilaplana's film "Plantadas," playing the role of a Cuban political prisoner, and also joined the cast of the series "Deleted" by PRONYR TV.
