According to the communicator, initial reports indicate that the driver of the red motorcycle, who was coming down Second Street, failed to obey the stop sign, colliding with the other motorcycle that was traveling on Escario Street, which has the right of way.

"The injured individuals were taken to a hospital in the city, but we do not have their personal information or the severity of their injuries," Mayeta stated, who did not provide information regarding the presence of passengers on either motorcycle.

Motorcycle accidents are quite common in Santiago de Cuba.

Just 10 days ago, a traffic accident occurred in Cuabitas, Santiago de Cuba, when a young motorcyclist collided with a vehicle belonging to the Operative Guard of the Revolutionary National Police.

Eyewitnesses reported that the driver was traveling at high speed and, after the collision, was left lying in the street.

After the impact, the young man underwent surgery twice, but ultimately he passed away.

The motorist received an emotional farewell, which included a large funeral procession of drivers.
