The Cuban actresses Tahimí Alvariño and Thais Valdés met again in Havana prior to the start of filming The Party, the new movie by director Gerardo Chijona.
"With immense joy of meeting again with my dear and admired Thais Valdés. How nice to see you again and do what we love the most, act," Alvariño posted on his Instagram account.
Valdés, who has been living in Mexico since 2003, recently traveled to Havana to be part of the cast of La Fiesta, a film that he will star in alongside Héctor Noas, Vladimir Cruz, Isabel Santos, Osvaldo Doimeadiós, Tahimí Alvariño, and Carlos Gonzalvo.
A few weeks ago, Noas celebrated being able to work for the first time with Valdés, one of the most iconic actresses in Cuban cinema.
Through Instagram, Vladimir Cruz also welcomed the actress to Havana and shared photos with her and Chijona.
Thais Valdés joining the cast of this film was announced at the beginning of June and marks the return of the actress to Cuban cinema, where she has left significant marks with films such as Alicia en el pueblo de Maravillas (1991), Adorables mentiras (1991), and Un paraíso bajo las estrellas (1999).
It is planned that the filming of this movie with a luxury cast will begin on July 8th, and its release will be scheduled for the first semester of 2025.
