Cubans on social media asked for help to locate the relatives of a minor who arrived at the Guanabo polyclinic after being rescued from the beach, where she nearly drowned.
An internet user identified as "Claudia Medina" requested help in a Facebook post to locate the relatives of the teenager, who apparently was at the popular beach east of Havana.
He said, "The Guanabo polyclinic is overwhelmed, and they don't have clothes or shoes."
A subsequent publication indicated that the child had already reacted and the parents were on their way to the polyclinic.
Other internet users said that in the midst of the crisis in Cuba, many teenagers on vacation have no way to have fun and escape to the beaches.
Last month, two young people drowned at Sardinero Beach in Santiago de Cuba when a group of nine people, including three minors, were swimming in that dangerous stretch of coastline, where swimming is officially prohibited.
Last year, Cuban authorities warned of an increase in drowning cases, especially in provinces in the east of the island.
