An alligator, with a snake in its mouth, was caught on camera while walking down a street in the coastal city of Fort Myers Beach, Florida.
The meteorologist Matt Devitt posted a video on Instagram on Friday showing the reptile calmly walking with its prey.
"An alligator was seen walking down the street, casually eating a snake in Fort Myers Beach. Welcome to Florida," Devitt pointed out in his post.
On the other hand, the video shows the phrase: "Meanwhile in Florida," indicating that scenes like this are quite common in the state.
However, in the comments section, internet users did not stop expressing their astonishment at seeing that scene.
Recently, another alligator was caught on video at a golf course in Florida while devouring a fish.
Chris Harris shared a video on Instagram, accompanying the images with the message: "Another day on a Florida golf course!"
In Estero, a town in Lee County, in southwest Florida, a 15-year-old teenager experienced the scare of his life in May when, after catching a fish known as Cichla or Peacock Bass, he was pursued by a hungry alligator that tried to snatch his catch.
The television station WINK News published a video recorded by Gavin Borsky in which a young man is seen fishing in the community of Stoneybrook in Estero.
While using his fishing rod, Borsky noticed that the alligator was coming out of the water chasing the young fisherman, as noted by the source cited.
The video shows the moment when the reptile quickly follows its prey onto land, forcing Borsky to move away from his fishing line and phone camera.
