The average selling price of the euro and the dollar in the Cuban informal market decreases this Tuesday, in the case of the US currency for the second consecutive day.

This Tuesday, the dollar opens at 353 pesos, five pesos less compared to the previous day, when it had already dropped from 360 to 358.

In the case of the European currency, the decrease is also five units, falling from 370 to 365 CUP.

However, the drop in the price of both currencies is far from the volatility of a few weeks ago, when they would decrease by 20 or 30 pesos in a single day.

The Freely Convertible Currency (MLC), for its part, remains at its value from the previous day, at 305 CUP.

Despite the Tuesday decline in the value of two of the three reference currencies in the Cuban informal market, in recent days, the behavior of prices had shown relative stability. This was at least in comparison with the movements of the second half of May and the first half of June, when abrupt increases and drops were recorded within a few hours.

Since June 19th, when the dollar reached 360 Cuban pesos, the value of the US currency has remained stable with slight and sporadic ups and downs. The same has happened with the euro and the MLC.
