This week, the contract that Frank Abel has just signed with the podcast "Destino Tolk" was made public; however, the Cuban broadcaster must comply with some rules while being part of this group, and as a result, he made some confessions about his personal life.
The Dominican influencer Destino Positivo clarified that this is an opportunity for Frank Abel to not only develop his career in Miami and do what he loves, but also to show gratitude to those who trust in him and have supported him, and to prove his detractors wrong: "With your work, you have to show those people who you are."
Frank Abel made it clear that his biggest motivations to start this new stage are his family, who have always supported him, especially his mother, and the audience that appreciates his work: "The same purpose that I had when I entered the radio at 11 years old is the same one I have now here in Destino, simply, giving the best of what I can give to the people."
"From now on, I don't want you to show yourself as fragile in front of the public and in front of some people who have programs (...) I don't want you to show weakness to anyone, I want people to see a new type (...) Here, you have to survive, here the weakest get screwed, those who people see as fragile get screwed. In this company, we do not accept weakness, here we accept hardworking people," was the second condition that Destino Positivo imposed on the host.
Amidst the criticism that Fran Abel has received, accusing him of being a drug addict, alcoholic, and problematic, the Dominican influencer made it clear that in his company they cannot accept people who use drugs or who are a bad example in the streets: "Your behavior determines your work and your growth."
"I was an alcoholic, I missed programs in Cuba not because of being an informant, or saying anything bad to my colleagues, but because I got drunk and fell asleep and didn't go, and at one point I was considered untrustworthy by radio and television directors. I assume it, I had violent behaviors related to alcohol," confessed the announcer, adding that he quit drinking after making a promise to Saint Lazarus and coming to the United States.
Despite the criticism Frank Abel has received, there are also many who applaud this new opportunity in Miami and still consider him one of the best Cuban announcers.
