Biden refers to Kamala Harris as "Vice President Trump" in a press conference.

Donald Trump mocked Biden by calling him "little man". "Corrupt Joe has a serious case of Trump Derangement Syndrome", he wrote.

Joe Biden's press conference on Thursday, in which the Democratic leader was trying to show that he is qualified to continue in the White House, failed to dispel doubts about his mental health.

When answering the first question, Biden mistakenly referred to Kamala Harris as "Vice President Trump" and continued speaking without realizing what he had said.

"Look, I wouldn't have chosen Vice President Trump as vice president if I didn't think she was qualified to be president," he said.

It was the first press conference after his terrible performance in the debate with Trump last month.

He did not remain silent and immediately shared a message mocking the president and calling him "little man."

"Joe the corrupt one has a serious case of the Trump Disorder syndrome," wrote the Republican politician on his social network, Truth Social. "Great job, Joe!" he mocked.

Later, Biden replied on Twitter: "By the way: yes, I know the difference. One is a prosecutor and the other is a criminal," he said.

Unfortunately, Kamala's association with Trump was not Biden's first mistake of the day.

Hours before, during the closing of the NATO summit, when introducing the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, he referred to him as "President Putin."

On that occasion, he did realize his serious mistake and rectified it, justifying himself by saying that he was so focused on defeating Putin that he had made an error. Zelensky, for his part, took it with humor and stated, "I am better."

Despite Biden reaffirming his willingness to run for re-election in November, more and more figures close to him are advising that he should withdraw from the campaign and make way for others.

One of them is his friend, the famous actor George Clooney, a well-known Democratic activist, who wrote an article in the New York Times in which he points out that Biden is too old to continue leading the country and warns that if he does not step down, the Party will lose the elections.

"I love Joe Biden. As a senator. As vice president and as president. I consider him a friend and believe in him. I believe in his character. I believe in his morality. In the last four years, he has won many of the battles he has faced. But the only battle he cannot win is the fight against time. None of us can," he wrote.

"It is devastating to say, but the Joe Biden I saw three weeks ago at the fundraising event was not the Joe Biden of 2010. It wasn't even the Joe Biden of 2020. It was the same man we all saw in the debate," he added.

Also the former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, suggested to the president that he reconsider his decision to stay in the race.

"It is up to the president to decide whether to run. We are all encouraging him to make that decision because time is of the essence," he said.
