Just one month after his last victory, the talented Cuban Osleys Iglesias seems ready to keep rising in professional boxing and has agreed to his next fight against the well-known Ghanaian Sena Agbeko, on August 17th, in the city of Quebec, Canada.

Considered a boxer with the necessary skills to shine at the highest level, the undefeated Iglesias (11-0, 10 knockouts) will have to showcase his full repertoire against Agbeko (28-3, 22), an experienced opponent capable of putting up a fight in the ring.

According to the report from El Nuevo Herald, the fight, scheduled at 170 pounds, will take place as part of another event by the promoter Eye of The Tiger and will represent the Matanzas fighter's third match in North America, while awaiting his team to determine his debut in the United States.

In this sense, it is worth mentioning that Iglesias and his handlers decided to boost his professional career between Germany and Poland, but gradually they have expanded his boxing map, as he is already being mentioned among the main exponents of the light heavyweight division.

Agbeko, meanwhile, is no stranger to Cuban boxing, as he fell by knockout last December against the stellar David Morell Jr. at The Armory, Minnesota, in the latest Showtime Boxing event.

In the month of June, Iglesias achieved one of the most impressive knockouts in 2024, to the point of leaving his opponent of the moment, the Russian Evgeny Shvedenko (16-2-1, 7), convulsing on the canvas.

At the Casino Montreal in Canada, the left-handed boxer left his opponent in very bad condition, who received quick medical assistance in the first defeat by knockout of his career. In fact, he had only fallen once in his previous 18 fights, which demonstrates the power of the Cuban.

The images of the struggle went viral, and many believe it could be chosen as the knockout of the year, although there are still many fight cards left.

"I thank God very much that my opponent is in good health. We are two people wanting to be the winner, thank you God for allowing me to be the best of the night," wrote the super middleweight on Facebook.

As a member of the Cuban national team, Iglesias stood out for the strength of his punches and speed in the ring. He also had close matches against the two-time Olympic champion Arlen López, although he conceded four times in the Playa Girón tournaments.

Currently, boxing coming from the island is experiencing interesting moments, with well-known figures such as Erislandy Lara, Yordenis Ugás, Robeisy Ramírez, the mentioned Morrel, and Rances Barthelemy.

Likewise, Andy Cruz, William Scull, the brothers Leinier and Dainier Peró, among others, maintain an upward trajectory that bodes well for a promising future and great performances.
