A Cuban woman in Las Vegas has shared in a TikTok video the similarities she has found between her home country and the United States, debunking some beliefs about life abroad.
In his video titled "Things I see in the United States, that were in Cuba, and that I thought were not going to happen here," he mentions the lines, the internet, or the street vendors.
The user @dianaelenasigasre commented that she thought lines were something from Cuba. "Here in Las Vegas, people wake up a day early to put a chair to save their spot. Go to Walmart to pay," she says.
Other points addressed in the video are the internet, paperwork, street vendors, or people who do not work.
"Here it's not always good. It's quite slow, sometimes you lose the connection," she said about the Internet, while about the paperwork in the United States she assures that she "has never seen anything like it." "Here, when you go to do a procedure, you have to sign 500 things," this Cuban woman states.
"Here, there are a lot of people who live off government aid, I believe more than over there [Cuba]," he commented about the people who do not work.
In response to these statements, many comments echoed her words while others do not agree with what this Cuban has expressed.
"One question, are you sure you are in the USA?", "You are in Cuba, I think", "I've been living in Las Vegas for 9 years and I have never seen a town crier", "I don't know where that might be, but in my time here in Texas, I have never seen anything like that" or "Those are Cubans," some comments say.
