A request for help is circulating on social media to locate Eduardo Alberto Vera Rosales, a young man who has been missing since Monday afternoon in Havana.
Vera Rosales lives in the Las Cañas neighborhood, in the Boyeros municipality.
At the time he was last seen, he was wearing black shorts and a light blue t-shirt, according to a source close to the family on social media.
"His family considers him missing, but going to the police to report it is a lost cause, since the police in this country do not do their job well," Amy Rodríguez Barrera stated on Facebook.
"We still have hope that he is still out there. Please, we can no longer bear the anguish of not knowing his whereabouts," he concluded.
Another publication clarifies that the young man does not suffer from any mental illness.
"It is requested that, if you have any information about his whereabouts or see him on the street, hold him. He has two small daughters and his family is desperate," wrote Isol G.
Anyone with information can contact the numbers 56598622, 53833562, or 53046055.
Reports of missing Cubans have become increasingly frequent in recent months, along with the publication of requests for help on social media to obtain information, all amid a context of growing violence in the country.
