Relatives of María Caridad Casas Corrales, a Cuban who has been missing since June 16, 2024, in Mexico, are desperate for any information regarding her whereabouts.

Dianelys Corrales, a cousin of Casas Corrales, requested help on Facebook last Monday to locate her relative, stating that the last information they had about her was that she was in the city of Tapachula, in the state of Chiapas.

"Please help us continue the search for our cousin María Caridad Casas Corrales, who has been missing since June 16, 2024. This was the last photograph we have before we lost track of her location in Tapachula, Mexico," Corrales wrote in his heartfelt appeal to the community.

“Any information is important; for God, nothing is impossible. Thank you for sharing,” expressed the distraught family member.

The influencer Niover Licea also spread the alert and called on the Cuban community in Mexico to assist in the search.

"The entire community of Cubans in Tapachula is being asked for help; we are urgently and earnestly searching for the woman in the photo (video). Her name is María Caridad Casas Corrales, and she has been reported missing," shared Licea.

According to the communicator, some sources indicated that it is possible Casas may have been a victim of a violent altercation between smugglers.

Licea reported: "A family source informed me that, unfortunately, it is being said that she has been involved in a shootout with coyotes after crossing the border from Mexico," highlighting the seriousness of the situation and the urgency of obtaining information that clarifies her current status.

He also pointed out that, “Unfortunately, she did not have the patience to wait for humanitarian parole and decided to try to reunite with her only son here in the United States quickly. Given the circumstances, she was accompanied by some relatives, but they lost track of her.”

Another Cuban has been missing in Mexico since last June. Oscar Luis Marcos Roso, 62 years old, was last seen in the Mexican state of Tabasco, and authorities have requested assistance in locating him.

According to the "Missing Persons" report released by the state's Prosecutor's Office, the man disappeared in the municipality of Tenosique, Tabasco, on June 4th at around 2:00 PM.

The story of another Cuban reported as missing had a happy ending. Yefery Rodríguez Ramos was recently found in a hospital in the city of Tapachula, in the Mexican state of Chiapas.

"Dear friends, thank you all for your well wishes. Yesterday, the Cuban Yefery Rodríguez Ramos, who had been missing, was found. He was in a hospital in Tapachula. Other Cubans went and found him there," announced journalist Mario J. Pentón on his social media.
