Car on fire on a street in Havana

The fire quickly consumed the vehicle, with no human injuries reported.


A Chevrolet caught fire on Saturday morning at a central corner in El Vedado, Havana.

The fire occurred at the corner of 15th Street and L, in El Vedado, according to the report by user Yariel Vidal, who shared two videos of the incident in the Facebook group "ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!”.

In the shared videos, one can observe how the dense cloud of smoke quickly grows and becomes visible at several points in the area, where curious people are also gathering.

The presence of firefighters at the scene of the fire can also be observed.

Precisely, users expressed their gratitude in the comments section that the vehicle owner was unharmed, although they regretted the material damages.

"Poor owner, probably some short circuit or broken fuel hose," a user anticipated about the possible causes of the fire.

"With all the sacrifice one has to make to obtain a little cart, to lose it like this," was the opinion of another person.

On the morning of this Saturday, there was also a surprise with a fire in a moped, neighbors of the Havana municipality of Guanabacoa.

The firefighters extinguished the fire and no one was injured in this incident.

A week ago, a Lada caught fire on a street in Matanzas, fortunately without any fatalities or injuries.

According to a publication by the official newspaper Girón, the quick response of the neighbors prevented the spread of the flames inside the car.
