Considered one of the rising stars of professional boxing, the Cuban Andy Cruz continues to work in the gym to return on the upcoming August 3, although he is now awaiting the name of his new opponent after it was announced that Antonio Morán will not be able to compete.

According to El Nuevo Herald, the Mexican Morán suspended a couple of mandatory exams and will no longer be in the scheduled program in Los Angeles, but there is confidence in finding another boxer to face the Olympic champion from Tokyo 2020.

In fact, the source indicates that there are up to four options to replace the Azteca. "Matchroom will do everything possible for Andy to step into the ring on that evening," the media outlet reported.

In May 2023, "The Dancer," as many call him, arrived in the United States after being expelled a year earlier from the Cuban School of Boxing for an attempted illegal exit from the island.

Thus, Cruz aims to be part of the lineup featuring the star Terence Crawford and Israil Madrimov. Additionally, that same night, Cuban David Morell Jr. will also return to face Radivoje Kalajdzic.

Morell, another exceptional talent in boxing, will seek to claim the title of the super middleweight division of the World Boxing Association.

The companies Matchroom Boxing, World Of Boxing, TGB Promotions, Golden Boy, Goldstar, Queensberry, Salita Promotions, and Warriors Boxing from Miami are in charge of the mega card at the BMO Stadium.
