In order to demand the liberation of the island and protest against alleged accomplices of the regime, a group of Cubans will demonstrate next Sunday at the Flag Plaza of Miami International Airport.
The activist Marcel Valdés told Alex Cuba Urbano in an interview shared on the social network X that after a long time, they were authorized to hold a demonstration in that place, where supporters of the Havana regime usually protest.
Valdés mentioned that the organization Puentes de Amor, led by Cuban American Carlos Lazo, will hold a demonstration at the airport on Sunday and that they will also attend.
He indicated that the rally scheduled for 10:00 AM is led by Exilio Unido Ya (EUY), which brings together several opposition organizations.
The activist emphasized that: “We will be there bringing the truth of Cuba, showing the world that there are political prisoners in Cuba and dismantling the circus of those accomplices of a murderous dictatorship.”
This is not the first time that this group has confronted the Bridges of Love project.
In April, Ramiro Collazo, leader of the group of Cuban exiles called EUY, confronted a person named Carlos Manuel, known as Indio Taíno, whom he reproached for his support of the Castro dictatorship.
The discussion took place in Homestead, during an event for May Day organized by Cubans who sympathize with the regime.
"Cuban exiles integrated by the group Exilio Unido Ya, activists, and political prisoners, who in turn call for an anti-communist demonstration on the last Sunday of each month, went to Homestead to confront these accomplices of tyranny and tell them all the truths they deserve," Valdés reported on Facebook.
In May, the members of the group confronted pro-Palestinian demonstrators upon noticing that they placed a scarf on a bust of José Martí in Coral Gables, a city located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
Ramiro Collazo and Joel Riverón, who advocate for democracy and the freedom of political prisoners on the island, stopped the act of desecration along with Miguel Giménez, a local resident who joined in indignation over what those accomplices of terrorism were doing, according to user Marcel Valdés on his X account.
