Tell me you're going on a trip to Cuba without saying it: The odyssey of the Cuban with the suitcases.

In addition to year-round items such as food, hygiene products, medications, miscellaneous goods, appliances, and much more that can go in any suitcase, what is truly difficult is ensuring that everything arrives at its destination.

Traveling to Cuba has become quite a task for Cubans traveling to the island from other countries, a true odyssey, especially when it comes to packing their luggage.

In addition to all-time articles, food, hygiene products, medications, miscellaneous items, appliances, and much more that can go in any suitcase, the really difficult part is ensuring that everything arrives at its destination.

"Tell me you're going to Cuba, without saying you're going to Cuba," wrote the TikTok user @lizyjesu, who lives in the United States, along with some images that are very familiar to Cubans.

In the video, three people are seen trying to wrap a suitcase to make it as compact as possible and reduce the chances of it being broken or opened at airports in Cuba, something that happens far too often.

“Things that only a Cuban will understand,” he is heard saying in the video while comparing the way Cubans travel with those from other parts of the world when they go on vacation.

Many internet users in the comments agreed that this is something only Cubans do: “They zip it up, lock it, and still they open it”; “If you don't zip it, not even the zipper of the suitcase gets through, and still things go missing”; “They are stealing at the airport, I went last week and several items were missing from my suitcases”; “And the sad thing is that when they want to steal, they cut the zipper”; “Because if you don't do it, they'll take even the toothbrush or a bottle of water if you have it.”

As is common among the fellow islanders who try to help each other, there were even those who offered advice on how to do this step better and without complications.

What do you think?
