Filming a new Cuban movie: "5 Love Stories and a Desperate Bolero"

This feature film is being shot these days in Havana under the direction of Arturo Santana.

A new Cuban film, 5 Stories of Love and a Desperate Bolero, is now in production, a project of ICAIC directed by filmmaker Arturo Santana.

This feature film is currently being filmed in Havana, as shared by Cubaactores, and has managed to gather a luxury cast.

On its official profile on Instagram, this news portal published several photos of the recording in different locations, including the Havana seawall.

The cast of the film includes young faces of Cuban acting and more experienced actors, among them Iris Pérez, Andros Perugorría, Leticia León, Lili Santiesteban, Roberto Perdomo, Julio César Ramírez, Osmara López, Linda Soriano, Evert Álvarez, Carlos Solar, Yeny Soria, Ariadna Sadé, Loreta Estévez, Camila Montes de Oca, Ignacio Hernández, María Karla Mirabal, Lissete de León, Sailin Carbonell, François-Javier Corrada, and Alejandro Castellanos.

Cubaactores detailed that the plot of 5 Love Stories and a Desperate Bolero revolves around themes such as love, music, and emigration, following five stories: “Tony, who finds love thanks to an unexpected pet; Annia, whose emotions lead her to an impulsive act; Amelia, facing a painful past to save Elena; Renato, a lonely actor who finds companionship in an unconventional way; and Yenny, whose journey in search of love leads her to reflect on the lives she leaves behind.”

In the upcoming August, Neurótica Anónima, the new film by actor and director Jorge Perugorría, will also be filmed in Havana, with Mirtha Ibarra and Roberto Perdomo as the main characters.

La Fiesta is also in production, a film by director Gerardo Chijona that has brought together another spectacular cast with Thais Valdés, Héctor Noas, Vladimir Cruz, Isabel Santos, Osvaldo Doimeadiós, Tahimí Alvariño, and Carlos Gonzalvo.
