Cuban woman invests in transforming her rented home: "It's not a waste of money, it's an investment for my peace of mind."

Cuban woman in the USA explains why she transforms and invests in her rented house.

A Cuban woman in the United States has gone viral on TikTok by showcasing the decor of her rented home and explaining why she invests in a property that isn't hers.

The protagonist of this motivational video is @lorena_rosa_b, who in one of her most recent videos answered one of the most frequently asked questions she receives: whether the house she lives in is her own. "This is my house or I live in a rented place is the question I get asked the most. And no, this apartment is not my property," she stated.

Lorena explained that they moved to this apartment in 2021 after living a year and a half in a house in Hialeah, which was much smaller than the one they currently live in. "We didn't want to pay more rent, but we weren't ready to buy," she said. Since moving in, she has been dedicating time and effort to transform the apartment to her taste and style, with the aim of improving it day by day and creating a happy environment for her whole family.

In the video, Lorena also expresses her frustration with comments suggesting that she should save the money she spends on decoration to buy her own house. "Three gallons of paint and some decorations are not going to buy me a new house. However, they will make me feel comfortable in this place that is not my house but still feels like my home," she argued.

The Cuban woman pointed out that, although most rental properties do not allow significant modifications, it is not necessary to make drastic changes to improve the aesthetics of the place. "Living in a place that is beautiful and where you feel comfortable will make every space feel like your own, even if it is not your property, and will make the wait to be in your dream home less burdensome and more bearable," she concluded.

Lorena has received support and positive comments from her followers, who appreciate her honesty and the inspiration she provides to others in similar situations.
