A young Cuban woman living in the Netherlands, who often shares her experience and perception of the country on TikTok, shared practical tips for Latinos looking to settle there.
In a recent video, Claudia (@clau_clau1992) offered three fundamental recommendations for getting ahead in this European country.
First, he emphasized the importance of learning the language and, although he acknowledged that it might seem difficult and unappealing at first, he assured that it is essential for integrating and opening doors.
His second piece of advice is to engage with Dutch people, something crucial for understanding, integrating, and respecting the local culture. "Try to connect; getting to know people will help you understand the culture," he suggested.
Finally, he recommended maintaining Latin friendships that share language and customs. "You need to have that balance between integrating into Dutch culture and still having people who speak your language and understand where you come from," he concluded in his video, which adds to other useful resources online for those looking to establish roots or get to know the country better.
