Cuban in Texas, proud of his 'transportation': "It's mine and I don't owe anything to anyone."

"If you are one of those who don't have a car from this year, stay tuned because this video is for you," he began in his video.

In a TikTok video that has sparked intense debate, the Cuban user Elieser (@eliesersagitar), residing in Texas, responded to a negative comment about the transportations.

In his video, Elieser showed his 2005 Toyota Camry, affectionately called "Palmiche," and passionately defended his choice to have his own car, even if it wasn't brand new.

"If you are someone who doesn't have a brand-new car, stay tuned because this video is for you," he began. The content creator explained that although his car didn't have the latest technologies, it allowed him to work, pay his bills, and live without the worry of debt. "That little car takes me to and from work every day; it allows me to buy food and pay my bills," he noted.

He also emphasized that, despite the criticisms, his "Palmiche" offered him a sense of peace that many with new financed cars did not have. "It's mine, and I don't owe anything to anyone," he said proudly, arguing that he preferred to have an older car that was his own rather than a new one and be constantly worried about payments.

"I could barely ride a horse in Cuba and I came to own a bicycle after working for 10 years, and here I got this little cart with a lot of effort," concluded Elieser, summarizing the pride and effort behind his "Palmiche."

The reactions to the video total nearly a thousand comments and exceed 4,000 likes.

"Let them criticize me, but I spent 30 years of my life dreaming of coming to the USA and enjoying everything I can; I won't be eternal, one day I'm going to die, that's why I want a new car and a new phone." "You're talking about a used car like Toyota or Honda, which are tough cars, but if you buy a Ford, a Chevrolet, or another American brand, you are guaranteed a thousand problems." "I have two vehicles, one belonging to my wife and the other to me, and the truth is they drive me crazy. With what I spend on parts, I could pay the monthly payment for a new one, and I do all the repairs myself," some said.

"He made my day, this guy"; "A car payment is like having it break down every month"; "People don’t understand that a car is for going from point A to point B"; "I also have a car paid in cash and I agree with you"; "The truth is you are absolutely right, but I prefer to pay off my truck and sleep with the worry of payment, but it takes me wherever I want"; "I have a 2010 Toyota Yaris, I've customized it to my liking, and every day I take Palmetto from the SW to Hialeah, and there it is, running fine, and I'm going to get rid of it the day it breaks down"; "I totally agree with you," others commented.

And what do you think about this debate?
