A young Cuban identified as Hansel was killed on Friday night in Sancti Spíritus, friends of the victim confirmed on Facebook.
In several posts, residents of that province expressed their sorrow over the death of the young man, which they claim occurred on Friday night in the comments section.
The circumstances of the event have not yet been revealed on social media or official media.
"It seems unbelievable that yesterday we were together, my brother. I am speechless, I will miss you a lot, but I want to remember you as you always were, my blood. Rest in peace. God has a new warrior now," posted an internet user.
"Oh, my friend, you have no idea the great pain you have left in all those close to you," remarked another Facebook user.
Hansel's death is part of the escalating violence and crime on the island, which has even been acknowledged by the regime.
The day before, the murder of Usiel Quesada Florat, 23 years old, who lived in the Salomé neighborhood of Camagüey, was reported. This young man died early on Friday after being stabbed in the back.
Usielito Quesada was with a friend hanging out at a place known as Carpa de Jayamá, in front of the Hotel Camagüey, when he was attacked from behind with a knife, says La Hora de Cuba, which adds that the murderer resides in the San Antonio neighborhood, also in Camagüey.
