Eduardo Antonio receives the coin from Omer Pardillo: "I carry it in my heart."

The universal executor of Celia Cruz handed the coin to El Divo, remembering the affection the artist had for him.

Eduardo Antonio received from Omer Pardillo Cid, the universal executor of Celia Cruz, the American coin featuring the image of "The Queen of Salsa," which began circulating in early August.

During a tribute held for Celia for the launch of this coin, Omer Pardillo personally handed it to El Divo: "Thank you for always showing love to Celia. I want to give you this coin; you know that Celia cared for you a lot, she sponsored you in Mexico, you were at her 50th anniversary, she gave you the lucky little nudge that you didn't need."

"I'm going to frame her in gold like her (...) I carry her in my heart, because you know and the world knows how much I love her, because for me she is still alive lighting up my path," assured El Divo.

Eduardo Antonio participated in the tribute to Celia by singing "A star has gone to sleep," a beautiful song dedicated to "La Guarachera de Cuba."

The coin featuring the image of the Cuban singer officially began circulating in the United States on August 5. It is a special edition that is part of the American Women Quarters 2024 program, which honors five female personalities from the nation.
