A Cuban resident outside the country has started searching for descendants of his great-great-aunt and has used social media for this purpose.

Daniel Milián Rizo shared a photograph of the house occupied by his great-great-aunt in the Facebook group "El Vedado Hoy," hoping to find help among residents of that capital neighborhood.

House located on Calle M in El Vedado

"I am trying to contact the descendants of the marriage between José A. Villaverde and Amparo Kramer Pimentel. Amparo is my great-great-aunt; she passed away in 1949. With a bit of luck, if there are still descendants living at home, they must be grandchildren or great-grandchildren," the man wrote to provide clues for his search.

Some members of the Facebook group have reacted to Milián Rizo's post, providing some important information for his search.

The action of this Cuban adds to that of other compatriots who have also turned to social media to search for a family member, especially in the case of mothers or fathers.

In February of this year, a woman from Chequia, the former Czech Republic, managed to locate her father, a Cuban resident in the province of Holguín.

Also, a Cuban father residing in Miami requested help in the search for his two daughters, whom he has not seen since 1980.

The man, named Miguel Ramos, asked a friend to help him fulfill his wish of finding his daughters, and this person turned to social media to try to publicize this matter.

While an Angolan woman living in Belgium published an ad to find her Cuban father, identified as José Cabrera (Pepe) and originally from Florida, Camagüey.
