On July 28, El Taiger was arrested in Miami and has since remained in prison, which has led some of his colleagues in music, including El Yonki, to share messages of support for the reggaeton artist on their social media.
“My brother, precisely today this photo came up in my reminder, I really miss you. Today, as you are in a place where silence and doubt abound, the questions, no matter how difficult, have an answer. The world judges us mercilessly, especially us artists, without knowing the causes or the things we have to deal with day by day. Now that I know the pain of losing a mother, losing a father, life is not the same, and we do not all accept the bitter reality in the same way. In my case, I only live because I breathe, I live by inertia; we are like the clown, making people laugh while crying inside,” reflected El Yonki on his Instagram, who, like El Taiger, lost his parents.
Along with a photo of both, he added: “You are a great man, a great human being, and I know you will come out of this as the best version of yourself. You know that here you have a brother with no strings attached, and I publicly thank you for supporting me when few did.”
Recently, also through social media, Dany Ome and Yulién Oviedo called for freedom for El Taiger.
The reggaeton artist was arrested on charges of armed robbery and assault, and it was revealed during his court hearing that the victim is his girlfriend Suilen Díaz. At that time, the singer was unable to post bail due to another pending case for a felony.
