Cuban responds to those who call emigrants cowards: “Few dare to throw themselves into the sea”

"Brave are those who go out to face life to protect their own, feed them, and give them a better life," said the Cuban who defended the value of emigrants.

A Cuban living in the United States firmly responded to those who call emigrants cowards, arguing that leaving one's country of origin and facing an uncertain future requires great courage.

The young man, who goes by the name of Arguelles Positivo (@arguelles364), showed great admiration on TikTok for the people who, like himself, decided to emigrate one day, escape from Cuba, and carve out a path in another country.

"I heard someone say that we emigrants are cowards because we run away from our country," the Cuban pointed out. "We, the emigrants, have a very big heart in the middle of our chests."

Next, the young man listed the reasons he believes make an emigrant brave. He mentioned that not everyone is willing to leave their life behind and start from scratch.

"Not everyone is willing to risk their lives on an uncertain journey, on a raft, to cross a jungle, to traverse a dozen countries, without money or food," he remarked.

Arguelles Positivo argued that for someone born in a country full of opportunities, like the United States, for example, it is easy to criticize, “but if you were born in Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela, and other developing countries, you understand the need to emigrate, because all people want the best, to see our families well, we want to prosper, to be free.”

" emigrating is not for cowards. On the contrary, it is for brave people," he emphasized. "Brave are those who step out to face life to protect their own, feed them, and give them a better life."

The TikToker has previously shared reflective and inspiring messages, some directed at those who achieved their goal of reaching the United States.

"You fulfilled your dream and arrived in the United States, you arrived in Yuma, so congratulations and blessings," began Argüelles, his reflection with which he intended to "say what no one tells you, but I'm going to tell you in a way of learning, so that you know what you are going to face from now on."

On another occasion, it sparked the debate around the stereotype that "Cubans do not work."

In his reflection, the tikToker addressed this issue, highlighting the diverse and demanding jobs that many of those born on the island undertake.
