84-year-old woman escapes from Cuba by boat: "There's nothing there"

The lady, originally from Guanabacoa, in Havana, was happy to be with her children and grandchildren surrounding her with love.

An 84-year-old Cuban woman escaped from the Island in a boat with about twenty other people, including her daughter, who was on board accompanying and taking care of her.

The group arrived on Thursday at 11:00 pm in Marathon, in the Florida Keys, and were intercepted by the United States Border Patrol.

The influencer Dairon Cano shared several videos on his TikTok account of the woman gathered with her children and grandchildren in what will be her home from now on.

The lady, who lived in the municipality of Guanabacoa, Havana, was happy to be surrounded by all her descendants who surrounded her with affection.

Next to him on a table were 15 packages of La Llave coffee, as his relatives reported that he loves coffee.

"It was very necessary for him to drink coffee, and now he is going to drink a lot," said one of the daughters.

"The whole family is already here," a happy grandson emphasized.

The videos do not clarify which vessel the elderly woman from Cuba took. Cubans who arrive in the United States via this route are released with an I-220B form and a deportation order.
