Some neighbors from the Playa municipality in Havana helped a teenager from Santiago who was wandering the streets of the Cuban capital.

“Good evening, this child is here in Havana, Playa municipality, Barbosa neighborhood. He says that his mother abandoned him because she told him he was gay and went to the east,” wrote the internet user Yani Matos in the Facebook group “Revolico Palma Soriano.”

Matos added that this teenager identified himself to her as Yoan and said he was 18 years old.

Although one person specified that his specific name is Yoandris and his mom's name is Carmita. "They live here in Contramaestre. He is missing, I have seen several posts looking for him," he noted.

"We already bathed him, gave him food and clothes, but he has lymphangitis in both feet from some tight shoes he wore that were wet for days," added Yani Matos.

He also requested assistance to find out if this teenager had family or a place to sleep.

However, in the comments section, several people pointed out inconsistencies in Yoan's story.

"That boy is from Contramaestre and his mom is looking for him. She didn't abandon him, that story he made up, like so many others that he says are not true," wrote a user to provide references about the case.

Apparently, those who know the history agree that Yoan has mental issues and that his family is dysfunctional.

The author of the post confirmed shortly afterward that it was submitted to the police.
