One of the people close to Quiala told the reporter that, apparently, the young man "didn't realize the motorcycle was coming and was hit."

According to the information published by Mayeta, the motorist also "sustained severe injuries from the impact and is in very serious condition at a hospital facility in the city."

According to the publication, Quiala's body will be displayed for only a few hours and will then be kept in cold storage until the arrival of family members who live abroad.

The sudden death of the teenager has caused deep distress among his family, friends, classmates, and teachers at the school he attended.

A friend identified as María Carla Benítez said farewell with heartfelt words on social media: "I still can't believe your loss, my brother. You know that in all the bad and good moments, you were with me and I was with you. My Tanke, from where you are, I will always carry you in my heart because more than a friend, you are a brother to me."

In a comment on Mayeta's post, a young man identified as Yover Más Duro Guibert, who was with Quiala at the time of his death, expressed his shock at the tragic event: "I had never seen a motorcycle hit a person so hard; I can hardly sleep thinking about the incident. Additionally, I had just begun a friendship with the guy; I truly feel very sorry. My condolences to his family and friends."

Guibert shared a photo and video he made of the group of friends who were together at the bar and stated that the deceased "was not drunk or anything like that, he simply crossed the street without looking and there was no time for anything, that happened right in front of me."

Dayana Estrada, one of the teachers at Quiala, also expressed the pain of teachers and classmates for what happened to the teenager: "Kevin EPD. The teachers and students of 9th grade 2 are very sad. (...) We will always remember you, my boy. Your teacher Dayana carries you in her heart."

Another teacher from the school, Yanet Constanten Seguí, remarked that he was "a boy with a strong character, but very kind, with very good feelings. It is truly painful to see how a life full of life has slipped away from us. On behalf of all your General Education teachers and on behalf of your classmates, we extend our deepest condolences to family and friends. The pain is very great, but God will place you in a beautiful place in heaven. Rest in peace."

Countless expressions of sorrow and condolences to the family for the premature death of the teenager have been published on social media since the news of the unfortunate event was made known.
