One of the coaches of the Santa Clara baseball team, which represented Cuba in the Little League World Series (LLWS) in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, stayed in the United States.

Carlos César Martínez remained in his position until last Saturday, when he reportedly left the Cuban training camp.

The Santa Clara Bombarderos baseball team returned on Monday to the capital of Villa Clara, where authorities called on the population for a massive reception through the main streets of the city.

The other two coaches, Everaldo Pedroso and Andy Zamora, returned home with the children.

The young Cuban players said goodbye on Tuesday, August 20, to the Little League World Series, after a surprising loss to the representatives from Matamoros, Mexico.

On Sunday, the Lake Mary Stars from Florida were crowned champions of the tournament after defeating Taiwan, 2-1.
