A modern car was destroyed after hitting a rock on the road to Santiago de Cuba.

A modern car suffered a serious accident this Thursday in the province of Santiago de Cuba after crashing into a rock on the road.

The incident, which left the vehicle destroyed, was reported on the social network Facebook by independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada, who provided several details about the accident.

According to the activist, the incident took place in the morning and the people are safe despite the strong impact: “The two people in the car did not suffer serious injuries, but they are sore from the blows.”

Mayeta himself revealed that the owner of the car is Williams Carrasco, who owns a Mipyme in the town of Dos Caminos, municipality of San Luis, in the aforementioned eastern province.

So far, the precise causes of the incident are unknown, although there are two hypotheses: fatigue after unloading merchandise and drunkenness of the occupants.
