Dollars, euros, and MLC boast this Tuesday of another day of stagnation in what used to be their usual price fluctuations in informal sales in Cuba.
On September 3rd, it will be one month since the dollar reached 320 CUP.
The US dollar arrived on August 3 at 320 CUP after dropping five pesos compared to August 2, and since then, the monitoring of classified ads averaging its price in the informal market has shown no movement, according to elToque.
In the case of the euro, the European currency reached 330 CUP on August 5th and since then its selling value has not changed either.
The last to record movement was the Freely Convertible Currency (MLC), but that was more than three weeks ago.
It experienced two consecutive days of declines, on August 8 and 9. However, since then, the MLC has jumped on the stability bandwagon and is trading at 275 CUP.

What is happening with currencies in Cuba?
On social media, many Cubans are closely watching the sustained slowdown of currencies in Cuba, which during the first half of the year showed signs of abrupt changes in trends, both upward and downward.
As is often the case, some are pleased because they believe it is a halt for inflation and product prices, but others regret it because they do not think the prices of basic necessities have slowed or are decreasing in the black market.
A third group claims that they don't care, since they are currencies to which they do not have access.
For the moment, elToque -in an unprecedented silence on the subject- continues without providing an analysis of the currency situation in Cuba.
The median of buying and selling values published this Tuesday by the independent media does not allow us to anticipate that the three reference currencies are close to experiencing changes.
The average sale on September 3 for the three is 330 pesos (euros), 320 (dollars), and 275 (MLC).
In the case of currency purchases, today the average decreases for dollars (to 318 CUP) and MLC (to 270).
