An urgent help request is circulating on social media to locate Yanara Fernández Méndez, a Cuban resident in the city of Las Tunas who has been missing for almost a month.

The woman was last seen on August 5, but the location where she was lost track of has not been specified.

"Today marks 28 days since Yanara Fernández Méndez left her partner's house. He says she went to her mother's house, a place she never arrived at, and to date, no one has seen her again," says a post -presumably from a cousin- that has been shared on several Facebook profiles this Tuesday.

The note adds that Yanara Fernández has been sought everywhere in recent days, that the police have been notified, and that there has been no progress in the investigation.

"So today I will ask you again to share this post so that more people can see it and help us find it, because it could pass us by, and if we don't know about it, we can't report it. That's why, if you see it, call these numbers or notify the police to see if that brings us some peace," concludes the note.

Those who have information can call the following numbers: 31371465 and 31345329, which are landline numbers in Las Tunas.

On August 19, two weeks after the disappearance, an uncle of the young woman was also requesting citizen collaboration for the case.

“We continue to wait for a miracle for our niece Yanara Fernández Méndez to appear safe and sound. We have searched every corner we can imagine she might be in and every place where they believe they have seen her,” wrote Néstor Leonardo Méndez López.

"We appeal to the human heart: if someone has her detained, please return her to us; if someone sees her, let us know quickly. It has been 14 days since she disappeared. The family, and especially her mother, is very sad and worried," added Méndez López.

In that case, the relative referred to a "medication" that the young woman would need, which was not specified in the publication.

As of the closing of this note, no further details have emerged regarding the circumstances of the disappearance of Yanara Fernández Méndez.

Feminist platforms have not yet echoed the call for help.

Recently, reports of missing persons in Cuba have become frequent, causing concern among families who desperately turn to social media for help in locating their loved ones due to the lack of an official channel to raise awareness about these cases.
