“Girl is 14 years old and goes by the name of Alicia Consuegra. She was at the National Bus Terminal and disappeared. Please, if anyone sees her, call these numbers: 53919029 - 56426890. Please share, we are desperate,” the alert shared on Facebook stated.

As of the time of publishing this note, the family has not informed whether the minor has been found or is still missing.

Recently, reports of missing people in Cuba have become frequent, causing concern among families who turn to social media in search of help to locate their loved ones, in the absence of an official channel to make these cases visible.

Due to the absence of a police protocol and an early alert system for the disappearance of girls and boys, the feminist platform YoSíTeCreo in Cuba established the Alerta Mayde, in order to help find minors whose whereabouts are unknown in Cuba. Its creation was prompted by the disappearance of the teenager Maydeleisis Rosales Rodríguez in Havana in May 2021.

In recent days, several young women have been reported missing in the country. At least two of them were found safe and sound, according to reports on social media.
