A young Cuban has reached out for community support to locate her mother, who has been missing since the beginning of the previous week in Matanzas.

Nieves Elers, a native of Santiago de Cuba and resident of the Pueblo Nuevo neighborhood in the city of Matanzas, has been missing for about five days, according to an alert from her daughter Yurdania Rodríguez Elers in Facebook groups, along with photos of the elderly woman.

In a post last Friday, Rodríguez stated that her mother had been missing for four days. “I am desperate,” the young woman expressed.

Additionally, he asked that if anyone sees the lady or has information about her, they contact her at the number 58022856.

In another shared post, it is noted that Nieves disappeared on Wednesday, August 28, and "needs to take her medications," but no information is provided about what illnesses she suffers from. Other details are also not specified, such as where she was last seen, what clothes she was wearing, and whether a report was made to the Police.

As of the time of writing this note, it has not been reported whether the woman has been found.

On Friday, relatives of the young Yunier González Fernández, a resident of Havana with "mental problems," sought help on social media to locate him.

Alicia Consuegra Sánchez, a 14-year-old girl whose trace was lost at the National Bus Terminal in the Plaza de la Revolución municipality of Havana, was also found safe and sound, according to an update on social media by the girl's mother.
