In Santa Clara, the capital of the Villa Clara province, another state store was sanctioned by government inspectors after hidden merchandise was found that was not being sold to the public.

The incident occurred at the Foreign Currency Collection Store (TRD) "El Aeropuerto," located on the Road to Malezas, very close to the international airport terminal Abel Santamaría Cuadrado.

Government inspectors from Santa Clara detected that the employees of that store had hidden 52 packages of fourth-stage disposable diapers, which had a selling price of 800 Cuban pesos (CUP).

For this reason, they ordered the immediate sale of the product so that mothers, who each day have to face the ongoing shortage in Cuba, can buy it for their babies.

They also indicated that "requests for disciplinary measures will be sent to these state centers" for those involved in an event that highlights the high corruption that exists in the Cuban state spheres.

In its inspection, this government body found other bad practices regarding the service that state entities must provide to the population.

Among them, they mentioned a bakery in the municipality of Cifuentes where there was consumer deception, as the regulated bread intended for the population, which was supposed to weigh 200 grams, had an average weight of between 130 and 150 grams.

Also, in the municipality of Camajuaní, specifically in the Vueltas Popular Council, they found that in the store "La Loma Colorada" there was a shortage of 39.5 pounds of rice.

Other offenses were detected among self-employed workers, with a significant violation of Resolution 225 of 2024, in which the Cuban regime regulates the sale of six products it considers basic.

Just over a week ago, during a similar inspection and based on a complaint made by the public, inspectors from Santa Clara found 10 Minerva 26 bicycles priced at 31,000 Cuban pesos hidden in the warehouse of TRD La Orquídea, located in the Doce Plantas building of Sandino.

For this reason, they imposed a fine of 8,000 Cuban pesos on those responsible, in accordance with Decree 30 of 2021, and made an immediate sale.

Such incidents are condemned by the population, the main victims of the crisis on the island, due to the inefficiency of the Cuban rulers, who cannot find a solution to lift the country out of misery.
