Residents of the municipality of Guanabacoa, in Havana, reported the existence of a large pothole on Concha Street.

In an email sent to CiberCuba, residents in the area warn about the danger that this giant pothole poses to the children in the community, as it is near a school and on a heavily trafficked road in the La Hata neighborhood.

"The pothole is right in front of a primary school, which has caused vehicles to sometimes mount the sidewalk to avoid falling into the hole," the text states.

The situation puts students and passersby in the area at risk. Despite the fact that the issue was raised by the residents before the start of the school year, the government has not yet taken any action.

"Before the start of the semester, the urgent need for a solution was discussed at the school, but we are already in the second week of classes and the problem is still there. The school administration said it was not their responsibility, but rather that of the delegate, but no one has done absolutely anything," they assert in the complaint.

The community expresses its concern over the lack of response from local authorities, and fears that the problem will worsen over time, putting residents and students at risk.
